Anonymous asked: do you consider yourself a feminist?

I consider myself a feminist in the same way that a straight person can consider him/herself an “ally”—because I have no real or verifiable understanding of what it means to be a woman today, I cannot predicate my support of feminism on anything except theoretical notions of the relevant power structures that promulgate systems of inequality. So yes, I am a feminist without really knowing what it means to be one.
